Bought a new Win11 laptop w/Nvidia 3060. I ran setup and it recognizes the Nvidia card. I can run the patcher, see server select and when I try to connect to server EQ looks like it's minimizing to taskbar but it just poofs. Any suggestions? Thank you
The DX9 full offline installer is here. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 If the issue isn't because of DX9, look at Logs\dbg.txt when it crashes, before you launch EQ again. I think this shouldn't be the issue any more, but try making sure eqclient.ini looks like this. It used to be that the default size when you run "Game Configuration" from the Launcher is too small for any modern graphics cards to render, except you are getting to server select so I am not sure. Thank you for your help. So this being a fresh EQ install on a new laptop, on a whim, I had the patcher verify files and it downloaded a bunch that somehow got missed on install? Anyway working now. Thank you again for your help !
