Category: Other Date/Time: Sat Feb 11 08:56:54 2023 Character: Level 120 Paladin (Main) Zone: Shar Vahl, Divided 2762 Location: -555.30, 100.27, -189.35, 247.67 Description: why does the so called auto connect for group and guild not work? you removed the boxes in options and half the time no matter how many times I type in /consent guild consent group it wont work, its supposed to do it automatically since the above options were removed and you have to type in names of the people.
Commands maybe were probably removed too (other than the single character consent)? Make sure its set right in your ini, will have to be logged out to change it. https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq/index.php?threads/game-update-notes-january-19-2022.280388/ - Removed the auto consent options from the Options Window and turned them on by default. These options can still be disabled from within your character's INI file in the Defaults section with the property AutoConsentGroup, AutoConsentRaid, or AutoConsentGuild set to either 1 or 0. https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq/index.php?threads/game-update-notes-july-20-2022.284368/ - Added a default of fellowship auto-consent for corpse dragging. This can be changed by setting AutoConsentFellowship=0 under Defaults in a character's .ini file.
well the thing is it works fine for a while then decides not to work for a while then goes back to working, ive not touched an ini file at all.
It's per character, check those lines in all your <character>_<server>.ini files. It should be 1 for all four.
ya but why does it flip flop and decide when it wants to work and when not? I dont change anything and it stops I dont change anything and it starts working
Unsure if related, but theres kinda a known issue can happen where corpses can be out of sync on the client. You see them some place but the server has it elsewhere. Otherwise, yeah its weird.
Using /consent currently only updates the group/raid/guild/fellowship options for your current session and doesn't update the value in your character's .ini file. So the next time you log in, that setting will revert back to whatever it was. To change the option permanently, you'll have to update the .ini file directly. This functionality is something that we're hoping to fix in a future update. We'll also be updating the usage info to have actual info on how to use the command.
