Is an example of TERRIBLE UI phrasing that should be remedied - it is buried far below "Confirmations" where it's easy to not realize that they're related at a glance - with many easy to remedy confirmation protections nested closer where it's OBVIOUS and impossible to miss that they're confirmations:

It is easy to overlook the Confirmations label due to it's in line justification and lack of any other methods to amplify it's importance - i.e. centering or bolding it

And of course when you do - reading it as "No Drop Item - Always" sounds like you will ALWAYS loot No Drops (Or NEVER for the opposite option) whereas the reality is the opposite of what a glance would tell you.

And also while you're at it, it probably is confusing for newer players as well, as the term "No Drop" is now dead, as the game now uses "No Trade" instead. Not a problem I can relate to, but clearly another adjustment it should CLEARLY have.

Especially with the declaration recently from a GM that claims fixing errors with things like this are NO LONGER EVER DONE anymore, it seems like an important thing that there is ZERO possibility for confusion on player side for the protections allowed to prevent it.

Like Fast Item Destroy isn't THAT big of a deal in modern EQ because of the Tokens of Reclamation being an option. But for something that is completely expected to be managed by the player to prevent with ZERO potential to fix, it should have the MOST clarity possible.

Frankly, maybe even be worth popping up a dialogue with "FYI, we no longer will assist with transferring items that are mistakenly looted - use No Drop Item: Never setting at your own risk" when someone tries to select that option to be extra careful. Or change the policy on supporting fixing such errors. (Or maybe create something along the lines of a Token of Reclamation to at least empower players to do it on their own - although obviously that could have some weird gameplay implications without the protections of having humans involved)
Mukkul, Syylke_EMarr and Fanra like this.
