The subject augmentation is base dmg 5 , Req Level 65 , Rec Level 75 Inserting the subject augmentation into "Staff of Shattered Dreams" , Req Level 65 , lowers the weapon damage from 52 to 50 when equipped by a L65 BST character.
There is no bug with that. Inserting an aug that has a higher Rec makes the weapon that rec too. You are now 10 levels below the recommended level. You don’t want to use augs that are higher than the weapon level if you aren’t that level for this reason. *edited to say 10 levels, I initially read it was lvl 70 rec not 75.
Probably a good idea to remove recommended level on all augments. ...and probably most items. Do I care if a lvl 1 equips a Ssra/PoP weapon for +2 dmg vs something else? Nope.
Okay. I did not know that adding an augment to an item transforms the item into a higher recommended level. That doesn't seem intuitive to me but perhaps it does to most other people.
