    Earth comes from the old Germanic for dirt. So the term earthquake should really be read as "trembling ground" rather than the proper noun for our planet. Thus I think earthquake is a perfectly acceptable term.

    Moonquake is an actual term for seismic activity on the moon. Ours has them.
