Confirmed Solteris Event #3 (Rear Guard Captain Balreth) still bugged

    Starting a new thread because the previous one was moved to Resolved forum and marked accordingly. It also mostly addressed bugs in Event #2 which appear to be fully resolved. Initial thread here: Fixed - Solteris Raid Bugged | EverQuest Forums (daybreakgames.com)

    While not impossible, the event is not behaving as traditionally understood. Upon engaging the event, after about 1-2 minutes, all trash mobs on the island immediately respawn and continue to do so (indefinitely?). Even after completing the event, the trash continues to respawn forcing you to get a new instance of Solteris to continue progressing (based on my understanding that Event #4 calls all remaining trash on the island).

    While this is more of an annoyance than a show stopper (can fight the event in a place where there are only 2-4 mobs from the island; can reset the DZ after completing the fight), it definitely appears to be broken.

    Steps to reproduce:
    * Clear all trash on the island leading up to the event
    * Engage the event
    * Wait 1-2 minutes
    * Complete the event
    * Attempt to re-clear trash to leave the event, it continuously respawns.

    Yep, Boss repops whole island and then bugs it out that it keeps respawning as you're trying to clear trash after boss is dead

    Please at least acknowledge that this is being looked into and please please fix this with the patch coming up instead of making us deal with it for a whole month.

    TLPs just got to this expansion as it falls apart into a bugcluster.

    So last run, took down Balreth to his split. The 2-split never split to 4, balanced slowly all the way to 0, then Balreth single boss respawned.

    Just tried this event. One our first try, we had someone lagging behind that pulled a bunch of the island trash on top of us. After resing the lobby and reclearing the island, we took him down to 20, he despawned and split into 3 mobs instead of 2. We just flat out killed each of them without balancing thinking that the event would fail out when we unbalanced them, but it did not. Instead, on getting the last to 20 percent, it split into 3 again. My understanding is it still is supposed to work like 1, 2, 4, 8, 16. So if it is doing anything else that implies it is bugged and we are unsure how to complete it. Please fix it to how it originally worked or explain how to it is supposed to work now.

    Event is super buggy. It is supposed to be 1, 2, 4, 8 (all balanced within ~5%) then 16 (unbalanced is fine)

    If you get a situation where he splits into 2 and instead you get 3, he has re-popped his original initial trigger. It's bugged. Best thing we found when this happened was to run outside and jump off. Kick the DZ, pull a new one and try again. It sucks, but it is what it is until they fix it.

    As for the encounter itself so far we have had limited bugs by doing the following:
    1. Do not kill any elementals/dervish type trash in his room. CC these in one giant pile.
    2. Kill the sundrops in his room.
    3. Engage him as close to his spawn point as you can. Do not move him or his splits from his spawn.
    4. The sundrops will respawn. CC them when they do. If you are quick you can CC them before they rebuff themselves.
    5. Once event is over get out of the room. Bring trash with you and kill it outside, because his room *may* continue to respawn forever.

    No mention in today's patch notes... hopefully this can be fixed server side and won't require waiting until next month's patching.

    A new bug on event 5. One Summoner activated, was not killable, and ran north across the bridge. Constant orcs and adds spawned from the portal. This only happened once.

    Still bugged on Rizlona, killed first spawn, spawned the 2 splits + original Balreth. Did not happen the last 2 clears. Not sure how to repeat it.

    You have a bunch of 50 year old moms and dads with bad hands and eyes and kids destracting them in the background and your putting them onto an island with 100 or so of some of the most annoying raid trash in Everquest history. Putting them into one of the most annoying fights in Everquest history where they must fight two, four, then eight golems all at once that must be balanced within 5% of each other otherwise you wipe and each time you engange or re-engage this fight the whole island of annoying trash respawns without fail and or the annoying fight bugs out and just respawns ontop of its self mid fight and this is somehow still not fixed.

    So this is still bugged, after all this time? Just had first split respawn after 2nd split died, with mulitple unstables spawning, even tho it wasnt unbalanced, with the platform trash respawning, as well as convergence of flame spawning under world and summoning me.
    How is this still a thing? It has been months.

    can we have this looked into? we tried 3x tonight on this and all 3 events ended with the same outcome -- Death by nonsense.

    we are a small group that are looking to work on some older content any insight would be appreciated.

    Bump.

    This is getting worse. 5 times in a row now, during the 2-split, Balreth respawns and we can never get the 4-split.

    Edit: Looks like DPSing the first Balreth too fast or too far below 25% causes this.

    After testing on FV for Mischief TBS release, this is still happening.
