Which is especially problematic if they are rare mobs or potential placeholders for rare mobs. I can't even reach this one with a pet.

Yeah, that was a pain. I brought in a pet class and had them use f8 (I think) to target and then sick the pet on it. Then it popped out into the world and I could kill it.
In some cases a pet works, but in the two cases I posted above, even my pet could not reach them despite the mobs being close to me. So those two mobs are probably stuck permanently until the next zone/server reset. And this will keep happening unless EQ decides to address the bug.
You can also try a directed ae such as bard vainglorious shout. I know it goes through walls. I couldnt tell you what other classes do. Maybe beams?
On Rizlona, there are currently 5 mobs stuck in the geometry of one of the satellite islands North of Maidens Grave... these are all potential placeholders for Golden Ghost. Considering there are 7-8 PHs at best up there, this issue is causing obtaining the Hunter Achievement a very cumbersome process.
