Rune proc aggro?

I believe earlier in the year rune aggro was nerfed, I tried to find the patch notes for it but couldnt find it, if anyone could pls link it.

If I am remembering correctly the nerf was pretty bad, did this effect rune proc weapons? If so how badly if anybody knows?

Rune procs are still x2 value of absorb on every mob on hatelist.

Many rune weapons used to proc the Current version of Rune X rather then the original version.

For example Bloodied Beserker's Blade used to proc Rune III, now it procs the original Version of Rune III So you get a 230 point rune instead of a 398 point rune.

Thats interesting, Amberpike is doing the same thing, Zam has it listed as
    https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=1689

But its actually this in game
    https://wiki.project1999.com/Rune_V

Was this from the change that happened earlier in the year?

    Any other changes?

Pro tip: Don't use zam for spell data. It's always been garbage. Use EQR, raidloot, or magelo.

If you look at the history of the spell data in EQR, you can see it never changed. There weren't any changes to the rune absorb values. People have just been using Zam as a reliable source for it, but zam hasn't been good at parsing spells.
    Syylke_EMarr likes this.

    Couldn’t tell ya…

But my bard sure appreciated my warrior with rune procs during multi pulls… far less deaths or needing to fade aggro and waste that mana uselessly.

Ice Comet was definitely Changed yet EQresource doesn't mention it. A lot of time the patch notes will say stuff like "made changes to some spells" without naming the spells or the values changed. Wouldn't use that link as proof of anything.

    Ice Comet EQResource "History"

    Ice Comet Lucy History

    Ice Comet P99

P99 is using zam data. It's trash and wrong. At best it's using spell data from before EQR even existed so it would have never captured that spell change. There are multiple sources showing it to be wrong - EQR. Magelo, raidloot all show 808. Bad parsers are bad. Stop using them.

Here is parsed data for the actual patch day of 10/16/2019 in EQR https://spells.eqresource.com/history.php?mdy=10162019
Zam can't even get day correct it's so bad (DPG never does thursday patch days and according to Zam the spell data changed on a thursday lulz). Not a single thing for Ice Comet.

And read the spell data for Zam.

    Changed Slot 1 from "Decrease Hitpoints by 808 " to "Decrease Hitpoints by 706 (L49) to 1508 (L19) "

Why is the damage higher for the spell at level 19?! It's soooo bad. It's laughable you'd even use this garbage as an example. This is troll level bad.

Regardless, OP is asking for recent changes to Runes. There have been none.

    False

Zam has Ice Comet at 808. On Live it was revamped a long time ago before EQR even existed to be lower DPS but more mana efficient. I use Ice Comet because i know for a fact it was revamped.

It's on a Thursday cause Lucy updates the day after the patch.

Below is the correct change for the spell.

    2005-04-12 13:05 Changed Slot 1 from "Decrease Hitpoints by 1110 (L49) to 1120 (L50)" to "Decrease Hitpoints by 808"

    Both sites have bad data/history.

Troll so hard you paste the supposed change from 2006, not 2017 which has the spell damage going up as you lose levels lmao. EQR didn't exist in 2006 btw.

Lucy/zam is garbage. The fact you rely on it tells me all I need to know about you. I never come across inaccuracies with EQR. Not once. Zam? Almost daily. You can even parse patches yourself and you'd find EQR is 99.99% reliable

Regardless, you're off topic. No recent changes to rune procs. It still generates 2x absorb value worth of aggro.

I'm just here to say a rune proc'ing weapon is pretty sweet if it gets a good proc rate. That's insta cast too. And no reagent? That's good soldiering.
