Food stamps give about $300/mo. The free phone program is for anyone who qualifies for food stamps. You can also get 5mbps internet tethering on them. None of those programs help with babysitting or transportation to work.

Lots of free things are out there for folks in the U.S. and I hear in Europe as well. Thankfully, my wife and I are still doing more than well enough that affording really cheap entertainment like EQ is not a problem. I was thinking that some of the folks worrying about the cost might be folks with large numbers of accounts. I only have two accounts and if someone has some absurd number of accounts that would really change things.

Conclusion of the discussion:

For about 80% players the prices are to cheap and for ~20% to expensive.
New account models that do connect on both current AllAccess sides would
solve that without the risk of loosing angry players.

Everyone is allowed to reply and point out pros and cons of a suggestion, that is the purpose of a forum. Also why should this thread be locked because you are unhappy with the way people responded to your suggestion?

Because back on page 4 and post #80 I had also asked it to be locked. We are now on page 6 and post #118. It is beyond tedious now. Except for the jokes (thank Nennius) that lighten this up there is nothing new here and everyone has expressed their view.

You are not wrong. Regardless of the merit of the idea it suffers what most subjects suffer. A lot of folks on these forums have little ability to put themselves in the positions of others. Much harder for any communication to occur when folks refuse to see things from the other side. It is what it is I guess.

Putting yourself in the position of others doesn't mean you agree with them. EQ isn't something that people need to do and there are plenty of other cheap forms of entertainment out there. Also since EQ is free to play and you can get a subscription by spending time playing the game and acquiring krono I would say it is hard to get much cheaper.
