Confirmed House of Thule - Upper / Lower Floors Invis Issues

Prior to the body type changes in the patch, one was able to traverse from the zone-line from Feerrott the Dream to any of the other zone lines in House of Thule, Lower floors without issue.

The rotdog mobs now see through invis, causing issues traversing the zone - particularly for level-appropriate characters.

In House of Thule, Upper floors, one was able to traverse from the zone-lines from House of Thule, Lower Floors to any of the other zone-lines without issue as well. The run to the Fear Itself zoneline is now treacherous for level appropriate characters as the "an ember golem" mobs now see through invis, and the "a hateful fire elemental" mobs have always seen through ITU. The rotdog mobs also now see through invis, causing trouble traversing to Al'Kabor's Nightmare.

These zones are much like Ka Vethan in that they're central travel corridors throughout the expansion, and is causing similar frustrations to the changes the Shade mobs in ToL content were having prior to today's patch.

I believe the golems were previously classified as "constructs" not undead - as I don't recall being able to use Turn Undead on them previously either.

You can find some further discussion on the subject in this thread in Veteran's Lounge:

Please fix prior to HoT launch on Mangler (May 4th). This will cause major issues for traversing these zones.

While it's an unintended change it actually sounds like an improvement.

Making it MORE difficult for players to get to the majority of zones in an expansion, including a daily Teek hotzone, sounds like an improvement???

Golems of any sort, including bone golems, should never be listed as anything other than a construct. A golem is a magically constructed being made out of a material: mud, clay, rock, metal, bone, etc.

Having them being suddenly flagged as undead is inappropriate lore-wise. This is not an improvement, it's a (hopefully easy to fix) bug.

Rotdog's are zombies, they should be classified as undead, yes, but the Rotdog's in these two zones should not see the player because if you want a player to actually play content they need to be able to get TO the zones to do the content.

The point I wanted to emphasize in my other thread is, since Upper Floors was originally designed to be a mixture of see-invis and see-IVU but was later changed to No See-Invis including Nameds, it means the zone was deemed necessary to be No See-Invis a long time ago.

It's not a case of asking players to adapt to something new. But a case of reverting back to something that was proven to not work in this particular zone.

For clarity, the mobs that now see invis in Upper Floors are Ember Golems and Rot Dogs.

If they want to keep the NPCs true to their body types they need to rearange the NPCs in the zones so there is once again safe passage to get to other zones.

The changes to invisibility itself are not a bug. While we do not agree that there should always be safe paths through zones, we do acknowledge that it may be more difficult than we like at this point. We will address an adjustment of the population at a future point.

there are two tegri model mobs positioned in the doorway on the right just before the SV zone line in Ka Vethan that aggro and causes death if you are not dual invis'd. It would be appreciated if they were moved further into the room.

Just to confirm: Making giant detrimental changes to nearly all expansions was actually intended?

Or just poorly thought through and tested before being applied./
