Do you use a laptop or another computer that never does get rebootet and always has internet connectivity ?
This is weird because it should only be related to cookie settings but the IP adress and browser informations (session ID ?) could also be a factor. So do you use a firm IP adress maybe ? When I close the firefox browser I always have to login again and the cookie settings do not matter. Just had tested a few other browsers but after closing them a login to the forums is always required. Cookies and temporary data had been set to stay when closing the browser. Do some of you maybe use a cloud service like WIndows 365 ?
I never log into the browser, not Google, Firefox, Opera etc. Perhaps that is why some of us don't get craptcha?
Let me give everyone a secret hint (cheat): Most of the time, whatever they want you to choose, there will be three of them.
I said 'most of the time'. And I was referring to something like, pick the boats, or taxis, or hills. For other things, it can vary.
It should be replaced with EQ related pictures. All kind of mobs and objects (chests, doors, trees, weapons, etc.) could be used instead.
That 1 pixel of traffic light shroud that's in the next pane? /Maury Povich voice NOPE! Recaptcha says that is NOT a traffic light. Try again.
I had one day before yesterday that wanted bicycles, one picture was of two motorcycles and it counted as bicycle.
IP address change triggers re-login to the forums. It's possible you're getting assigned a different IP when you power off/on. I use VPN to play a JP gacha game and if I use the forum while on the VPN it will bounce me to log in even if all I do is hit refresh on the browser.
What if we could have EQ specific pictures. Name a dev? Name a zone? Identify halfling corpses, perhaps. Make it a value added experience.
This used to drive me crazy [OCD]. The best way to look at it is, "What would an average person (without OCD) put as an answer?". Since CAPTCHAs are usually based on majority rules for the answer, go with the crowd and pick whatever they would. Don't look for the perfect answer. Yes, that square does actually have 1 pixel of the item in it, so an accurate answer would include it. Would most people consider it? No.
