Was wondering why the LDoN healing aug: https://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=68052 was not affecting the spell: Healing Wave of Prexus https://spells.eqresource.com/spells.php?id=2589 For some reason the target type is set as "Target Group" as if it was a buff, in error. It does only heal your group, its not a targeted group heal, so a regular healing focus works on it, a group heal focus does not. Same problem with: Wave of Healing https://spells.eqresource.com/spells.php?id=1455 Not a big deal, but it is an error.
Yeah, it should be Group v2 not Group v1 Healing Wave of Prexus and Wave of Healing are incorrectly set as Group V2 instead of Group V1 Wanted to clarify that from my first statement.
Because there are the first 2 group heals paladin's get (chronologically) and they were designed to not receive any focus for fear they would be overpowered.
They get focus just fine. They just don't get group heal focus and instead only get direct heal focus because of the target type error.
I'm saying it was intentional for the time. The various v2 target values were invented for such reasons, not limited to this topic. In this case, several stronger heal focus (40-45%) where restricted by design. In your LDoN example, Geomantic Compact's Healing Gem excludes v2 heals, while Sharp-Edged Pearl Shard does not. So get the latter augment. Eventually, in OOW, they figured out that super inefficient group heals by paladins were not game breaking. Then they introduced worn focus specially for the group heals, e.g Pious Acquiescence at 55%, and changed the target of later heals from "41" to "3", as noted in this thread.
You're overthinking things. Those spells existed before any group healing focus existed. It is just a mistake.
Actually I think it's been under-thinking lol. Looking at the spdat again, and remembering way back, the target type for those 2 are target-able group heals. Whereas all the later Wave spells are caster group heals, as they all should be now (in practice). I think I remember them being MGB-able in SoL before that was patched too.
