So we have a new client we can get more instances(picks etc). we have raid instances,so give the players an option to get a single group of up to 6 players in an instance only that group can access and if possible make it that mobs cant respawn, allow 6 accounts on a pc max or an ip,half the original loot table and half random,we dont know the new 64 bit client capabilities and how much can the code be changed going foward, every new tlp we get some changes so if something is not duable now maybe one day it will, these is all about giving players the change to get their epics and equipment if they so wish camping it,people will still trade excess gear and botters will be around, what the group only instances does is stopping people from stealing your kill or camp and letting you progress at your pace.
yes if the 64 bit client allows it it would make the game better for the general population the only negative effect i can see his botters revenue dropping, also i hope the number of players for server can increase with a 64 bit client.
There is no evidence that the 64 bit client by itself will allow for any of what you are requesting or will change their stance on things.
the 64 bit client can use way more ram then the 32 bit client and also will allow devs to work on items they where unable to on the 32 bit client.
What it won't do is magically create more memory and processing power on the server to handle more instances. Just keep playing the game past PoP and you get what you want. Instances with respawn start happening as early as Gates. By that point the instances are designed for the server to be able to handle the load.
since daybreak created a 64 bit client for everquest wich will allow better graphics i dont see why they cant add a few more servers for instances, having people rage quit because someone warped in their camp and steal the named or training the group.
One step at a time. But personal instances are unlikely to happen because Everquest's magic sauce is the community.
