Bard yesterday looted the pure 17 damage augment, no proc. I am aware of Flurry of Notes, and proc rate via heroic dexterity. My question is... at what point does a bard use a pure damage aug over a damage aug with a proc? Or is it always choose highest damage augment with or without proc? At some point soon I am going to have to decide between the 15 damage aug that procs some ice DD and the 17 damage augment without a proc. Hoping someone can provide insight. Thanks as always.
The 15 with dd is better than just the 17 since you're a hybrid and have the proc damage boosted. That dd proc might give you can overall 2500 dps if you run flurry of notes on cooldown and just the random procs.

My bard primarily uses the heal proc augs. That plus reckless renewal and fierce eye has been pretty $$$ if you can do the challenger achievements.
Bard will be using two weapon damage augs. The first will be that, that is a given. The second comes down to 17 damage vs 15 damage/ice DD proc from previous expansion. That was kind of my point in the original post, as far as which one is better for bards.
