Kinda funky loot in here you guys.....

    Ngreth is the man you need to talk to about this. we def reported this problem to until we puked, now we just kind of gave up. He won't remove Yelinak from the randomized pool anymore than he already is...I think there's like 2 Yelinak's in the random loot pool still at least maybe 3-4.

    We did the math, between open world and our instances, killing everything open world on Thornblade and splitting our instances, Yelinak loot was present on the corpse...and sometimes alone with no other bosses loot 88% of our kills... 88%....



    There are 4 Yelinak's in the system that are clouding that pool, they removed 2 of them. They need to remove 3 of them like they said they would.

    It's in the test patch notes. You reported it, they fixed it, its waiting to be patched. Sorry they didn't agree with you that it warranted taking the server down immediately. Patience.

    They don't have to take servers down to remove a mob from randomization.

    Seems like they do in this case? The bug report indicated Ngreth attempted to remove 3/4 Yelinaks and when it didn't work made it so it was part of the patch/ required a server outage.

    No the patch was mostly to fix a bug with the Yeli instance.. since whoever made the instance used the dragons dragons dragons Yeli to be up at pick up not the original Yeli and the Original Yeli is the one that is randomized and also move yeli's head and neck back into the loot pool instead of being equipped into the inventory slots of Yeli to again make it show up in the randomized loot tables..Thats really the only reason for the patch... the GMs "supposedly" have a command that can remove any mob from the randomized tables they want..

    Hope those trap mobs with the same name as raid bosses in Ssra don't cause any issues...

    So again...seems like in this case to fix the Yeli loot they needed a patch? What exactly are you disagreeing with in the post you quoted?

    There are 2 loot problems with Yeli. Only 1 needs a patch, the other is hotfixable they just didn't do it for whatever reason.

    Luclin is going to be amazing with the number of mobs, events, and loot tables that completely changed over even the first year of Luclin. Going to be peak Mischief.

    This has been our experience as well. we have gotten Yeli loot on almost every Tier 1 mob we have killed. We have had some Tormax mixed in and a couple times Tunare. We have only seen Vulak and AoW loot once.

    Its pretty ridiculous to be honest. Like I don't mind the tiers and even see the value in them, but when your getting Yeli loot 88% of the time and never get Vulak/AoW loot,it just makes killing these targets not very fun. Every AoW kill we have done has resulted in nothing worthwhile.

    And dont get me started on NTOV. ST2.0 for days! Sad when the best loot we've gotten in NTOV has consistently come off the Triplets....

    If doing Tiers was going to create this much of a loot disparity then they should have never done them.

    Yeah and that one was locked also. Just like this one, it's full of some really stupid comments. There's someone saying that getting a raid force to yelinak is just as hard as getting a raid force to Vulak. The funny thing is, at best, they think they are smart by realizing that you can coth a guild to yelinak, and you can coth a guild to Vulak.

    But what they are completely dismissing, is that you have to kill the other targets in NToV before you can fight Vulak. It's probably the most hilarious comment I've ever seen posted this year.

    This tiering crap serves one purpose, and one purpose only...it gatekeeps for a guild who has a roster so large they can field 200+ toons for OW kills. A roster so big they can stack a DPS raid on an expansion launch whose sole purpose is to follow another guild wherever they go, and do other raids at the same time.

    If Ngreth actually played this game, he would realize that a guild looking forward to a DZ raid of a tier1 target only to constantly see Yelinak loot, and without even a necklace/head, is absolutely unacceptable and any decision other than removing Yelinak from the shared loot pools is frankly the wrong decision. Ngreth took the bait of that stupid list from the kronolords that benefitted them and thought, "Hey, let's use this...that sounds like a great idea" and set a precedent for the next few expansions that is worse than what we had previously.

    But they gotta have their taco bell money!

    And if you notice they are getting a fix in place that will go out this Wednesday, you will just have to wait a little while longer for it to be put in place.

    Too bad we can't go on test and try the fix not that they ever fix anything between test patch and live patch anyway. It's ok though we'll only be forced to play a broken game for another month if something is wrong.
