I play in third person and just noticed these artifacts above my character's name while at home in Steamfont Mountains laying waste to the Minotaur Lord. With /show 0 With /show 1 Draw attention to what appear to be horizontal lines over the letter n both in the character's first name and guild name. Above the closing ) and the c in "Mischief."
Don't worry about it as you get older and your eyesight gets worse you won't be able to see them at all But seriously this has been brought up in the past and its really just the resolution and the game has really old graphics. You could run a custom UI if this is a huge annoyance
I believe there is a transparent image being used as the nameplate and apparently the transparent image being used doesn't cover the entire nameplate area as we can see some bleeding color from the text color being used for the name where you see those horizontal lines above the name. At least that's my guess. Ya this bug has been around forever.
