Did anyone not report to anyone that the Seeds of Destruction Hunter Achievements don't have bags attached as rewards?

I would have spent time on fixing that before the changes above.

Why? Its not like these points are acutally used for anything.

I thought you said last patch there were available after The Serpent's Spine

No fix for the filters you messed up last patch?
Still nothing to help casters with DPS after the proc nerf?
Still no further improvements for lag?

Seriously at this point nothing should be happening but fixes for lag period. Your game is unplayable when it has lots of players actually playing. Revert all filters back to what they were two years ago and remove all procs from the last ten years until you figure it out. It’s absurd this continues or and worsens for as long as it has.

Not sure why Hunter seems to be a major focus in 2 of the last 3 months patches, at least by the content filled in the patch notes we get to see.

Lag / stability has been a long term problem and source of player dissatisfaction for awhile now and seeing patch notes filled with hunter fixes and changes is not thrilling to see.

You might want to consider that as your getting ready to ask people to open their wallets and buy next years expansion.

  8. Yinla Ye Ol' Dragon

They really need to rethink their priorities over the last few months and get QA to actually check things being added to the game. Hunter patches really shouldn't have been needed.

It's low hanging fruit they can fix while working on other projects, like fixing the lag.
    Ssdar and Skuz like this.
  10. Warpeace Augur

I can agree with it being low hanging fruit. However its a leap of faith on them honestly fixing the lag.

  11. I-WANT-IT-NOW Augur

But the lag has been going on for years now. Best guess is each time they "upgraded" their servers they instead cut costs going to inferior stuff. They won't suddenly go back to the more expensive stuff so the only solution is all hands on deck cutting anything out and reverting stuff back to simpler so it works with the current setup we all likely have until sunset. Folks are quitting due to lag. No one is coming back because of 2 years of hunter improvements and stupid filter changes.
  12. Velisaris_MS Augur

Rumors abound (and they are just rumors) that perhaps these hunter achievements will be meaningful in the next expansion. Of course, rumors like that start up every time there's a new expansion coming. Which would explain their obsession with them. I too would prefer they spend their time on something actually worthwhile.

A dev made a post in that big "rat ears" thread that after they thought about, they're just removing them completely from the vendor for everyone. Basically, they admitted that it's not worth their time to fix it, so they're just gonna make every other server pay to satisfy the TLPs.
  13. phaeril Augur

Satisfy the TLPs? TLP players hate the dumb boring levels at least as much as live players, we're constantly hopping servers and starting over.

Someone should really tell them that the game is straight up not fun before lvl 10. If it were fun they wouldn't have to constantly mess with things that let us skip the early levels. They should just nerf the quest if that's what they want stopped, it's like they can't even evaluate a problem statement before just going in and changing things to absolutely nobody's benefit.

The rat ear change is a good one. Glad to see they stuck with it.

I believe the reason said was they want people hunting rats for the ears rather than just buying them. What the "real" reason is I cannot say as my mindreading of the Devs is not working this week.

Trying to figure out the meaning on this one if anyone can enlighten:

    *** NPCs ***
    - The weaker monsters in Heart of Fear will no longer drop valuable loot.

The lowest level NPCs are 100. And what is being described as "valuable loot?" Diamonds? Tradeskill material? Purity augs? Diamonds and the like drop from most mobs at much lower levels. I'm not following.

    Perhaps they've meant items like:
    https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=112694
dropping off a samhain monsters including "a newly formed samhain", which are "weak"
    https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=43732

Who knows? It's a tribute item anyway these days.

They're probably talking about the hatchery area with lower level mobs. They're extremely weak and fast respawns so pet classes and necro using their ae orb were afking farming diamonds and other cash loot 24/7.

  19. Metanis Bad Company

Perhaps we should just be thankful they're not doing anything major to F things up even more than they are?

  20. Skuz I am become Wrath, the Destroyer of Worlds.

I believe the prior terrible filter changes filled the quota for that already.
