Pretty nasty trap in Solusek's Eye. Normally a lvl 30ish zone, the 30-point spear trap that is usually not dangerous (other than breaking invis) 22 years later this zone managed to surprise me by reaching across the internet to attack my game client. Upon encountering the trap, I immediately froze for about 5-10 seconds and returned to my 57 Wizard slain (guessing it would have killed me with any character at any HP level... just lagged them out longer?) I had a levitation buff at the time which may have contributed to this. For those who are curious, the spear trap is in the northern part of the zone near Reckless Efreeti. I actually wish traps like this did more damage to make the zone more interesting. Sol B always disappointed me that the huge rock slab crushing your skull in and flattening you like a goomba only hits you for 10.
I was unable to replicate this, after a few minutes of messing around. Not saying that someone else won't be able to replicate it; I just wanted to check it out because it seemed interesting/funny, but I couldn't get it to work.
