Hey @dev, anyway to make the monk epic items no-drop in south karana, bunch of krono farmers locking down spawn and reselling. thx for your help.
They will still just lock them down and let them rot if they can't sell the loot rights. The problem is the players, not the rules. Lemme guess, this is on Mischief? The same place where people are charming Hasten to sell JBoots in trade for the quest items and money?
yes and no, they will for a certain time but it is a much more difficult to sell loot right then to bank it and sell it in EC. I foresee this will not be lucrative, they will move on pretty quickly.
These mobs have such low hp, a monk can do 50% damage before a krono farmer can start to cast a spell. Just contest the spawn, there are no camps.
The no drop tag will not solve your problem. It never solved any problems. It is an abomination on this and every other game.
Literally would change nothing. Loot rights of the robe sell EASILY in classic/kunark. MQs are also VERY easy to do. I would say just get over it and do more damage.
Devs have also been making numerous changes recently to epic quests to make them more accessible to the individuals trying to complete the quest and to force individuals to actually do the whole quest rather than take short cuts, such as buying the item you need, so... changing it is also not unprecedented.
- pickpocketed parchment 1 + 2 easy to get, but is also tradable - gigantic zweihander tradable (500pp) - two handed mithril sword tradable (350pp) - painbringer tradable (50pp) - fleshripper tradable (50pp) --- jagged diamond dagger tradable - oracle robe tradable (150pp) - ishva robe tradable (150pp) - shiny metallic robe tradable (400pp) - kedge robe tradable (5 krono) --- cazic quill tradable and it looks like the book of souls from hate is tradable too, at least on FV server. So all you need is 4-5 Krono for the kedge robe, 1 Krono for the other mats, even if you buy high, one group for a midfight and 4 groups for the endboss and you have your rogue epic And that is for a guildless with a few friends.
And? Those are also not things someone can have a monopoly on. Hence why them being tradable isn't disruptive to the game. They have also made many changes to make it easier for people to access the epics, making this untradeable might accomplish that and is therefor not unprecedented. I don't have a monk, so I don't actually care if they make the change or not, but they have been reducing bottlenecks and such. So it is not unprecedented
