Ever since the last patch , my family and i have been having zone problems. Takes near 2 min to zone when it works. Often the game just stops responding and hangs. Then have to end the task and log back in. Once we do that, we have ended up in the zone we were going to .

Call your ISP to check if they block any ports over 65000. Sometimes the issue is that the outbound is blocked, have them check the trace to the eqzone server out port 65315 to open it up. Not sure where it is but theres a post or wiki with the range of ports EQ will use.

Hmm other thing is we have been playing this game for 21 years now. Never had this issue until just recently.

ISPs constantly change their configurations as they modify/upgrade or for security threats, etc. As far as the logs seem to say, your client connection to the server failed, which is likely to be an ISP problem especially since you can reconnect after you close the client. The outgoing port you connect by is randomly picked from within a certain range.

Port blocking is typical, some of them also use very aggressive packet shaping techniques that can cause some major problems with rubber-banding & zoning delays.

Either way this looks like a ring your ISP scenario.
