"Your Velium Empowered Gem of Striking feels alive with power." This line is from a worn focus effect that triggers constantly during melee combat. It's a lot of self-spam that could be eliminated if the filter were working correctly, but it isn't. From the Options window, in the Chat tab, selecting the Spells category from the drop-down, setting "Focus Effects" to Hidden turns off other worn focus effect lines of text but not for these two Boon effects. They do count as Focus Effects for chat window organization, because the lines of text follow to any chat window or chat tab where you set Right Click > Filters > Spells > Spell Effects. I hope this is an easy fix for you guys, just some flag that needs to be set.
"your velium enhanced belt of brilliance feels alive with power" "your irae faycite shard: ethereal brand feels alive with power" (and a lot of other wizard type3 augs: claw of gozzrem, restless ice cascade, restless ice pillar,tears of wildfire, maybe all of them?) are not filtered either.
Procs count as spell effects, not focus messages. Its a sub state because things tend to get tacked onto existing things in order to work and implement easier.
I strongly suggest you do not use options to filter out spam but instead make a new chat tab and send it all there. Eventually you are going to want to parse something or search the log file for something and you wont find it.
