I am new to the game and a barbarian warrior on Aradune (TLP) that is level 7 and rising. Does anyone know where i can find decent armor and weapons to help me improve? I am already finding it hard to find groups due to my lack of armor and weapons. I cannot afford to buy anything with PP from those players in bazaar or selling them. As i am approaching higher level i am finding myself getting killed very quickly and it is very discouraging. If there are any kind players who has armor or weapons that they dont mind parting with to help out please send me a PM, i would be most appriciated. even advice to quest or obtain armor will be helpful also.
You should not expect much at level 7 but there does drop alot junk gear in Ruins of Kunark, Scars of Velious and Shadows of Luclin which is perfect for newbies. As example "Crystallized Shadow" weapons and armor and Ry`Gorr armor. Of course you would need to be gifted so you could join a guild and make friends. There are players and guilds who just hoard such items for giving them away for a few pp or even free. Mobs at lvl 20 and higher can drop Fine Steel weapons and at lvl 26 Fine Plate armor. Visit zones like South Karana (Gnolls) and Lair of the Splitpaw (Gnolls), Estate of Unrest when you hit lvl 15 and you can get them with a group. You can solo there at about lvl 20-25.
