So was looking at the new spells we get with this expansion. A couple jumped out as odd. For example this one https://spells.eqresource.com/spells.php?id=61161 which is Arbor Stalker's Enrichment With two exceptions, the level range & the mana cost. It seems to be identical to https://spells.eqresource.com/spells.php?id=57923 which is Wildstalker's Enrichment Rk. III Since we did not get a level increase , why would we use it? It has a higher mana cost for the same effect?
Very few rangers, considered globally, have their rk3 Wildstalker's. ArborStalkers evens things up, brings that buff into the regime of other rankless buffs such that any ranger can provide Ranger Buffs. If you like, it can be viewed as a gift to all of a new ranger's new guildmates more than to the ranger themselves, such that those associates don't have to dip into old content to make someone's character capable of contributing appropriately.
Aristo didn't get around to adding or changing it before launch. I imagine this will be changed very slightly in a patch down the road. It wasn't intended to just be for the people lacking rank 3 of the prior spell. You can view it as glass half full for others if you'd like but the reality is that it wasn't finished.
This was on the Beta board from the very first dev post on spells. We replied, we posted ideas, we begged for other spells. There were probably 10 threads on ranger spells started; devs never even acknowledged they read any of them or commented. We participated in beta in part to get the opportunity for feedback, there was never even an indication that it was read. It was very frustrating.
So first month patch soon and no info on any changes to our spell lineup? Are they even looking at these?
