Condolences Randy Good idea. I hope if they do this, it requires a valid player name that exists for the name though, for obvious reasons.
In Villagers and Heroes, there's a memorial in the city that you can click on and it brings up a window with the names of players that have passed away.
A zone would be nice for players that have passed. It's not unheard of; there is one that exists with a few NPC's that were placed in remembrance of those that have passed while actively employed with the studio.
