Can you inspect your link for your sigs (magelo links) and make sure they are https and not http. This is causing Not Secure on the URL of the threads your old URL sigs are in. I have found this by using Google Chrome and right clicking your sig, choosing "Inspect" and it shows me the link is http. This seems to be an issue where the lock icon changes to a ! Not Secure icon. Thank you Fanra for helping me figure this out!!
Its been the default in browsers for mixed content for a while, but this way it just means that some items on a https page are sent http. Use the browser add-on HTTPS Everywhere and it will force all content to use https.
Out of sheer morbid curiosity; why does this matter? Not being sarcastic. I don't see how it really matters in this instance.
Degrades security, also the major browsers plan to not display passive mixed content anymore (they already block active mixed content by default), so whenever those updates are out the images in question will just not show up anymore (if they aren't available via https)
I am perhaps being a bit obtuse. I apologize if that is the case, but I am curious just how an insecure image degrades security on the forums. I find it interesting and I am curious about such things.
Well looks like mine is ok I guess. I am not that computer savvy but squeek by and have a smart daughter if I get in trouble.
If it were scripts or something else being loaded over http I might be concerned but I really wouldn't worry about an image. Just block mixed content on your end if you're that worried. 99% of the signatures aren't worth seeing anyway.
This isn’t about a non-https sig link being a vulnerability. It is that browsers are requiring Web pages not have any non-https links. And then as browsers lifecycle lately webpages are breaking for some users.
Thank you very much I am glad some like it, I must say I did not make it. I had the idea and took the screen shot of Flatchy ducking with no pants on, but another SK made it for me. This was back when the SK page (in one form or another) as really rolling. I think it was a SK named Shadey that made it? IT was some talented woman. Khat Nip may remember Alas I am older than dirt and forget quite a bit.
