When does the rest of Aradune get to farm VP keys?

The expansion has already been finished and 4 days later a certain guild is still locking down every single VP key camp in every single pick for 16+ hours every single day since Kunark launch. When does the rest of the server get their chance? This is exactly why these artificial meaningless bottlenecks need to be changed and why so many people hate this key. On prior servers, the racing guild locks down the key camps on keying expansions for the first 2-3 days and everyone knows not to bother, you just wait until you see that yellow serverwide that they have finished and then you barely see them again and all is well for the rest of the server to start going at it. Well that serverwide has long passed and they acting like they still keying for a selfish race.

From a previous post on this forum it seems they beat the expansion with only 31 people, I don't know their exact roster size but it sounds like its well over 72 raiders so I imagine they have a ways to go yet for keying their entire raid force. It does suck, and DPG has made some efforts to make the key easier / less campable / less griefable so hopefully everyone else who wants to can get their turn soon.

If your in a guild they can't lock every target down. You just need to zone in with enough people to pop another instance then go farm that one. Then you need to keep enough people in that instance to keep it open. The swamp is still a problem but its better than it was. There use to be only 1 spot for 1 item now there are multiple spots. You can do that with your guild for the goblin on the quest also.

Also if you they couldn't do that how could they make the world records for kunark?

This thread makes me laugh a bit.
You get to farm keys when your guild decides its worth a concentrated effort to get them (hint, VP is boring and never worth the effort).

Show up in force, spawn picks, double the amount of keys being obtained, speed up the process.
If you guys are trying to get it 1 person at a time - yeah you're going to be steamrolled, and hard.

Kunark is better when you skip VP. its such a useless zone.

Mangler is the first server I decided to skip VP entirely on, and it made kunark..bearable. its still a pretty bad expansion outside of the group dungeons. Its easily the expansion that has aged the worst imo.

Rizlowder... new account with 1 message. Is this just Rizloaner the person not on server who likes to start drama?

Peasants aren't allowed to enter Veeshan's Peak.

Maybe you can get participation medals in Velious.

We didn't beat the Kunark world record with 31 people.
We beat the kunark world record with closer to 130 people through a focused effort and an incredible amount of team work. We helped each other as a guild, and we will likely continue to do so. Those 31 have no intention of leaving the rest of the team behind just because we killed PD.

Was it an any % world record? A no monk world record? A motm, new vp key timer world record? A motm AoC new vp world record? Was it an open world only world record? Was it an increased spawn timer, forced pickzone world record? Which world record was it?!

    “Category Rules
The timer starts the moment that the expansion opens and ends once Phara Dar has been slain.”

So you’re pretty much doing an any % speedrun with different game mechanics and rulesets. That’s one of the most lol speed run lists I’ve ever seen. Each one was done on a different server with different rules and spawn times and exp rates and game mechanics and spell revamps etc. This was a good laugh. And no video? Even Billy Mitchell had a video for his runs.

Your argument towards "lol'ing" at the run lists would be more understandable if those servers even came close to their theoretical fastest completion times given their rule sets, but they did not, not even close. You can argue the rules have changed in a way to make races take longer, or argue that they made it faster, but you'd just be arguing semantics all day. The fact is, you can apply a given strategy to any rule set and come up with a theoretical time given that strategy with those rulesets very easily and you will be pretty accurate within a day nearly 100% of the time.

For example, when Faceless completed classic in 9 days on Agnarr, using their strategy, the theoretical completion time was actually 7 days despite them taking 9, but Zaide knew with his strategy he could have completed it in 7 if given another chance. I used a different classic strategy that hadn't been done before on any AoC TLP that dramatically improved the efficiency of how long it would take to clear classic. The theoretical time using the strategy TEB used if it would have been used on phinny is actually 6 days which is the same time it took us on Aradune, because the time you should have beat Aradune was 4 days. It took an extra 2 days because Aradune had the worst TLP launch ever. Agnarr should have beat it in 4 days as well, and coirnav with that ruleset it would have been 7 days. These servers didn't come even close to that, which means it wasn't the ruleset that slowed them down, it was extremely inefficient strategies. Once an expansions overall strategy is optimized to its fullest potential over the course of more TLP's to the point where only nuances make you marginally faster, then you can argue rulesets making the difference, but until then....you just simply have to keep posting your salty comments.

Edit: Only phinny has an excuse for inefficient launch strategies. AoC's were brand new, and motm was fairly knew. Guilds on phinny were the pioneers to AoC servers and there were so many unknown factors going in, which is what made phinny expansion clears take longer than servers after (not their ruleset). Every tlp after phinny though has no excuse. The strategy TEB used in classic was so painfully obvious that anyone legitimately trying to race should have figured it out in less than 5 minutes of thinking about it.

Yeah, queen bee in instances for the first month of phinny was the wrong version. It was the correct version in open world.

When motm was first implemented on ragefire, queen bee was hitting for 3400. My warrior fully raid buffed in full bis gear had like, 4200 hp iirc. Just about any attack round oneshot him.

    Was crazy

The mains aren't even finished keying yet, after that will come 2nd mains/alts! Try to recruit some friends to help out lol..

It was obvious. Act like jerks by KSing everything and then zerging every spawn that popped until you had a gear or level or numbers advantage.

The difference is that the rest of the server, for the most part, decide to act more civil over a 20 year old game. TEB has a negative reputation for a reason and will keep it until they stop treating everyone else like stepping stones.

Theoretical completion times, next level kunark strategies. I almost spit my coffee out, thanks for this post.
