I really like the environmental sounds when I'm near the city of Kelethin. But, I can't stand when I venture out further east and hear the loud and repetitive music of the marsh/bog/jungle. There's no break or pause in the track, it just cycles unrelentingly. Also, when I turn up the volume on my headset to hear better, I'm assaulted by the loudness of change dropping.
The music in Kelethin, for me, is the quintessential theme music of this legendary fantasy game/MMO we call EQ! Just hearing it evokes some great memories. The "loading screen" music is a close second.
You can turn off music while keeping environmental sounds. I have music turned off because most of it drives me nuts with it's repetitiveness. Its a shame you have to have all music or none. I agree with Buster that the Kelethin music is the best in the game. I wish I could listen to it in all the zones. Ranger Dave
