Content such as the casino in Shadow Haven, and the Loyalty Vendor in PoK, are in need of refreshing. I think you do yourselves a great disservice as a business by not fully taking advantage of the loyalty token system as an additional perk to lure silver account into changing to gold.

This can be achieved by changing the inventory of the Loyalty vendor every patch and adding relevant items both useful and whimsical in order to bring purpose to loyalty tokens as a subscriber and to those on the outside looking in.

The casino has been in operation since Shadows of Luclin was released on Dec. 4th, 2001. The prizes have remained unchanged for almost 19 years now. I believe you can revive this content by making it as relevant as the Loyalty token system by using the same strategy. People like to gamble. And, people have millions of disposable income to throw at it.

    Thanks for reading!

Well the benefit of going AllAccess (Gold) over Silver is expanded Loyalty merchant selection? I guess they could update the expansion currency list. The Loyalty vendor also includes dolls of the character (free character slots), good mid-level focus earrings, rez tokens, homes, and unattuners.
The Casino rewards include Elder Beads and a very fast mount? If you a give much better you risk eating into MarketPlace DBC sales.

Subbing helps a “Green” or “Silver” FTP player eventually earn loyalty 4x or 2x faster and thus get the aforementioned items sooner as lowbies. The loyalty merchants already help new/returning lowbies more to get them to sub.

To need better stuff than they offer you’d effectively need to have subbed already which probably torpedos your “more free stuff to get more silvers to sub.” argument. But what do you imagine should to be provided by the Loyalty vendors?

They just lost 3 veteran Developers. Even before then, have you not noticed the difficulty they have had in the last calendar year working on this game? Those issues are magnified while DP workforce are all working from home. Let's let them focus on the content for what is sure to be a rough beta and launch this fall.

In case no one has noticed before a Silver account earns tokens at 120/week same as a Gold account. There is no added "lure" for a Silver account to up its membership on that one.

    F2P earn 30/week.

Of course this is only if the account is 1 year old and the year counter starts over again if the account goes from F2P to Gold.

I agree with you that they are having difficulty's now, but think it about it this way. The casino hasn't been updated in (almost) 19 years. You can't wash away multiple years of ignoring problems by what is happening now.

Btw, I looked at your magelo profile. My goodness, you have an obscene amount of plat!!

Yeah, but I tripped and died while trying to forage plat on my ranger! It was back when the Evergreen Leaves were small and I din't see it.

Not always, Silver with 120 is possible as grandfathered or perhaps a glitch, but the usual cap is really supposed to be 60.

The way it works is Silver that had 120 velocity in either the F2P or AllAccess transitions kept it. However, if they subbed and lapsed they’re supposed to drop and perm. recap at 60. Similarly, if you had only had 60 or less you were capped at 60 as Silver. For some reason this lower recap worked on one of my accounts but my second Silver account would somehow stay above the 60 when it lapsed. Not sure if it was supposed to work differently, the latter account did completely predate F2P and was maxed before that while the newer account that did recap at 60 was made post F2P. *shrug*

Moot point for me now that all of my accounts are lifetime AllAccess.

CatsPaws, I’m just curious, are you saying you have Silver accounts that keep velocity when they lapse and if so when were they made? That’s always bugged me that one would lose the velocity and the other didn’t.

Seriously? LOL... I stop hitting forage after it hits max skill, unless I am after something specific. I want to forage plat too! Show me.

The Silver limitations of 60/2880 cap were put on the original $5 Silver accounts. Back when the loyalty reward was based on subscription. Which is why it would change when the account went back and forth - paid/silver/free.

Then they took away the requirement that is was subscription based for the top amount and dropped the $5 Silver and morphed it to Grandfathered Silver and gave those accounts some of the goodies of paid (general chat) and not so good (Cresent Reach as starting city & no prestige) benefits. That is when they got awarded the same as paid accounts for loyalty tokens.

My most recent F2P was made 2 years ago, I used a krono one month and went paid - a year passed and it was at max velocity and then I quit paying and it went to Silver (yeah I know people say that was an old bug and no longer works <shrug>) and it is still Silver and earning 120/week. So it did not "lapse" to F2P - it went Silver.

My other Silvers are all old grandfathered ones earning 120/week.

My F2P are just earning 30 but I have no plans on upping those. They are just back up singers :D

    Right?

I have also wondered why gambling was added to Shadowhaven, instead of High Keep where they have gambling decor (but no gambling).

The Loyalty Vendor is seriously outdated, and if it rewards Loyalty, why is there a cap on how many Crowns you can save up? Remove that cap and they could add more expensive and more up to date items (I mean come on, even new toons can do better than 16-slot bags now).

And what about Veteran Rewards? It was to reward players with long time paid accounts... then suddenly, they it gave them to everyone. Even so, they haven't added to it in several years (I can come up with enough Vet AA ideas to cover 21-25 years). No reason not to keep giving us Vet Rewards, imo.

And EQ Help data is so vague and lacking... thank goodness for non-EQ web sites.

And why was the LoN game shut down? There are things that the Marketplace LoN Cards do not include as potential rewards and, without the actual LoN game, impossible to acquire. (Example, the packs that included a secondary item that was used for EQ Quests, such as allowing the hiring of a Blue Skeleton merc).

And why are account-to-account transfers still not allowed, but server-to-server transfers are allowed? Logically, it would seem account-to-account would be easier as there is no server change (everything left as is except what account the toon is assigned to).
