estimated downtime is 6 hours ... servers came down at approx 6am pst that means around noon .. still have an hour togo before we get into a panic

Wow, no what I did was think it started at 6 CST and since its after 1 now....

CST would started at 8, comes up around 2 (assuming on time)

Wow, Common Core math. I remember when they were saying that the end of the world was "New Math" circa late 1970's. Common core math is, IMHO as a former teacher, the Devil and all of its spawn, to the 10^6 power.

There is no such thing as "common core math".

Common core is a defined list of TOPICS and SKILLS that the goal is to master by each grade level.

There is no defined/proscribed way to teach the topics, specifically.

So its the teachers whining about "common core" that are the culprits in teaching bad math learning techniques because it helps them get higher test scores with kids, though they have less understanding of what they are doing and why.
