Hi folks, I've been away for some time and not able to keep abreast of the EQ world.

Just heard about Aradune TLP that's coming and I've done some googling and watched a youtube video and looked on reddit but haven't found much info.

Do we know what Era/Expansion it will launch in and how fast the unlocks are? I do know that it's similar to Mangler in terms of experience which I believe is pretty good right?

no info but that it’s a mangler clone.

The new TLP servers for 2020 will be based on Mangler for XP rates & Unlock schedule.

That means the server will start in classic & the first 3 expansions will last 12 weeks before the next unlocks & after that expansions with a level raise will last 12 weeks before the next unlocks, expansions without a level increase* will last 8 weeks before the next expansion unlocks.

*The Legacy of Ykesha is no longer a standalone expansion and is unlocked when Planes of Power unlocks.

No it's not a Mangler clone. They said it will be something new using Mangler as the basis.

"Aradune is a new concept for our Truebox server rule set. It's going to have similarities to Mangler's rule set in terms of XP, era locking, and a lot more."

Hopefully in honor of Brad this will be locked to The Shadows of Luclin.

Brad worked on EQ much later than SoL..

Brad left SOE in January 2002. Planes of Powers was released Oct of 2002, so Luclin was his last EQ expansion.

To expand on this, when he was re-hired for a year, he was there during Rain of Fear, one of the best modern EQ expansions. He was laid off a couple months prior to COTF release.
