Update Regarding T3 Raid Unlock

Maybe. We can't check to see if an event has run, only if it is or isn't running, so like it'd have to be an event that started running on the day / time we wanted to unlock the raids and continue running in perpetuity which isn't pretty. But no major rush. This isn't something we'll have to consider till later this year if we determine that we want to time-delay raids unlocking for the next expansion.

Friday, Sunday and then Thursday. At 9 am. Because you are using a system that doesn't allow for more flexibility than 30-day intervals.

Next year raise all tradeskills to 400. Link the raid Tiers to average tradeskill level. No piggies allowed!

It's not the time delay unlock that's the issue, it's the method used to time-delay it that's the issue. They have delayed tiers in the past without this issue.

The decreased duration lockout timer bonus didn't end on time yesterday and despite the fact the raids were obtained and beaten well past when bonus was meant to expire they still seemed to have the decreased lockout timer as if the bonus was still in effect. Likewise, characters who have "birthdays" tomorrow April 3rd have the rainbow color names today April 2nd. I bring this up as this suggests some lack of synchronicity between the actual time/date and what the server thinks it is. If a prior lack of synchronicity was the issue with the T3 launch, it doesn't appear to be resolved just yet. Or if the two events are unrelated, maybe still worth looking into as the game or something gives the appearance of being a bit off in terms of actual dates.

So . . . T3 is supposed to open Thursday.

Is it actually going to open? Has it been tested?

best question being... if T3 for whatever reason does NOT unlock like it should, has DP come up with a way to manually override/unlock the event or at least come up with a backup plan?

Last time this happened it took you all many hours to communicate with us and even then the communication was sparse and uninformative, how will this be different?

So With more Issue on the T3 release have we decided to do away with this Timed unlocked yet?

in Discord they said they were not aware of any problem because they just woke up. they are now looking into the problem with nothing else to share.

In other words working as intended.

The ops team is currently working to bring things up as quickly as possible. I will update this thread when I have more information.

There is nothing innately wrong with a time unlock. Scheduling things that could impact this timed release is what the real problem is.

Rule #1 Never have a patch that could impact your planned launch the day before said launch.
Rule #2 Don't have the launches in the middle of the day.
