That one item you've always wanted but never got.

For those of us that have played the game since near the beginning part of the thrill of playing on a TLP is trying to get that one item you never won or never even saw drop in era. So what is that item or items your playing the game on a TLP to chase. I'd have to say one of the many items I'm chasing is the Darkblade of the Warlord. My main at the time wasn't a warrior it was a cleric so I never really had a shot of getting it in era but that thing back then made me think about switching from my cleric to my warrior as a main. Now playing through again I played on phinny as a warrior main and never got it so this time on mangler I'm hoping to snag that bad boy.

BFG. I was working on the quest when it was removed. I keep hoping one of the anniversaries will bring it back.

For my brother, it was always Hopebringer.

This time around I actually got my SotE from PoTime, but waay back when I always wanted to get the stupid Shroud of Longevity. Even this last go I did on Coirnav I wasn't able to get my ST key in time to get one - guild leader and one or two of the officer monks got them and then one stopped playing shortly after >.<

I always wanted a mana stone. I have seen them but never managed to get one before they were removed. Thing is, with the way mana works now they aren't even that useful.

Shinai of the Ancients. 9 months raiding time on Agnarr it only dropped one time and it was the 1 raid I missed. Already had my +2 damage aug for it, but never never had a weapon to put it in. I heard it started dropping like candy as soon as I stopped playing on Agnarr.

Ton Po's Mystical Pouch. I still remember the last one i ever saw during live go to a rogue that was part of the RL family that ran the loot council guild i was in. No doubt useful for ROG but i was pulling as monk at the time. Didn't stick around there very long.

Blade of the Black Dragon Eye. It was supposed to be in on Mangler, but nobody that I've spoken to ever reported seeing one drop in era.

Scimitar of the Mistwalker. I don't know if it would still drop in classic era on tlp but totally want it on a ranger.

It does drop in classic and you can get in from the casino once GoD opens.

based of the mana stones and moss covered twigs in this thread i do think it would be fun to have a server where those things dropped in their original forms.

I stumbled across that Oakwynd entry on zam a while back, it may or may not have influenced my choice to finally play a ranger on a TLP.

I cant see GMs ever doing events like the "good ole days" again or giving out those artifact level rewards, but its fun to imagine~

There was a GM event that handed out old-guktan illusion with infinite charges. I really wish they'd sell that!

I've always ended up getting the items I want. It's just a matter of committing to the playtime.

That being said, Swiftmantle was the hardest for me to get. Took me literally years of farming...

The funnest loot ive ever gotten though, was when my guild raided Inktu`ta and two Segmented Staff of Ceremony's dropped, and my 2 box monks got both of them. Absolutely game changer.
