I've mentioned this in the past but it bears repeating. Why does Daybreak use the same zone names for different zones? I see no reason at all unless they wish to encourage confusion. Just why? Is it too hard to call them "Frozen Shadow Tower", "The Eastern Desolation", "The Great Cleave", "The Mines of Ry'Gorr", "Velketor's Maze", "Tormented Kael Drakkel", "Caverns of Crystal"? I was confused when I took the portal to "Froststone" and it said, "You have entered Crystal Caverns". On a personal note, how in the world do I name the zones on my wiki? I guess I have to use "The Tower of Frozen Shadow (Torment of Velious)". Which kind of works, although it is quite awkard. So, why is it called Froststone in some places and Crystal Caverns in others?
Perhaps we should have used slightly different zone names to help differentiate them from their original versions. Froststone is to Crystal Caverns as Kelethin is to Greater Faydark.
You'd imagine that a time traveller who was meticulously documenting their travels would come up with their own naming scheme so their journal wasn't quite so messy. "Why they changed it I can't say. People just liked it better that way!"
Now it's Istanbul not Constantinople Istanbul not Constantinople If you've got a date in Constantinople She'll be waiting in Istanbul. Even Old New York, was once New Amsterdam Why they changed it I can't say. People just liked it better that wayyyyy!
Even old Cabilis was once called new Cabilis Why they changed it I can't say The Iksar just liked it better that waaaay! Hey! Take me back to Tower of Frozen Shadow No you can't go back to Tower of Frozen Shadow Been a long time gone, Tower of Frozen... wait now I'm lost
And yet you managed to give EW a distinctive name in RoF, but not in this expansion? Seems a little...lazy...to me.
