Unable to write to C:/Users/Public/Daybreak Game Company/Installed Games/EverQuest/eqgame.exe - http://eq.patch.daybreakgames.com/patch/sha/eq/eq.sha.zs/e7/d80/57745d13aac010943d5281c554725d16b9d. The file may be in use or you may lack the necessary permissions to install.

Several tries, same message

Same issue here. I’m getting one of two error messages. It’s either the one you are getting or “operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software”.

I allowed .exe access in windows defender & ran malware scans which picked up nothing. EQ was working fine for me 8 hours ago

Same issue here. Anyone try to reinstall?
