Fixed Merc Gear - Have to remove and re-equip for stats to show

My 110 wiz merc -- has a mix of Sorcerer's Vigilant and Sorcerer's Extravagant armor. For all of its stats, every time I log in or zone I have to go to the merc tab in inventory and un-equip the Vigilant armor pieces and then re-equip those for all the stats to show properly.
There seems to be no issue with the soother's line with my healer merc as all its stats remain and are correct.
I do not have a full set of Vigilant yet so I am not sure if this seems to affect only a mix of old with new?

Interestingly, this only seems to affect the merc ear slot.

Is there a fix for this? On selo I notice my sorcerer ear always bugs out like this as well.
