Hello, (disclaimer) I am a returning player. When i stopped playing I had several characters with their epics and could find my way around , to most places. Now, I don't understand half the acronyms being used , and use the map (in game or 'dear old' google). Most of my characters got boosted (why not). Many of them i got their epics, well the first version of the epic. I have meet many nice folks who have dragged me along to different places while they leveled one of their alts. This is great. I am still lost. I have found some guides, and try to do the daily tasks. It is difficult coming back to a game with out a couple reliable sources of how to get going, when you are sooooo very far behind, even the knowledge curve. As to the 'find a guild, they will help'. I would not mind that, but why be a drag on every one else. After reading thru this entire thing, what would be really meaningful is a stickied post listing reliable sources of info about : acronyms, the expansions and their different needs, how to find people, places and things for the different expansions. And any other info , so maybe us returning players will be able to help ourselves and hang around longer and enjoy the game. Thanks for any and all help. (i know it will come up, am on Drinal )

Id browse these forums, and deeply, some very valuable help posts and guides. When in doubt, make a new post here like this and ask.
Google is your friend. Or whatever search engine you use Quite a few tips on u tube and this was posted and got good reviews https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq...e-guide-for-new-and-returning-players.239675/ But generally (even after playing all these years) I just google whatever I am curious about like "spells for level 50 ranger in eq" which takes me to Allah where the spells are listed or maybe just "cresent reach" which will lead me to explore the quests in that zone etc. Sometimes you do have to put the whole word "everquest" after it so it return correctly There are hundreds of abbreviations so on those its best to ask in chat - people are always wanting to help - just don't do the /ex command (means exit game) there's always jokers in the bunch
