Need help with Stratos raid

    The raidforce that I am a part of has hit a wall with the Stratos raid. We get all the way to the final boss, but then the raid gets blasted with way too many 100k plus AE hits and people die. What is the strat to minimize the number of AE hits?

    The AE is targeted off the main tank, make sure the raid force is not near who ever is tanking the mob.

    Mez inferno flares, kill jopals and burn the final boss as hard as you can. Keep alliance on the tanks and crank up your AE healing. There is no need whatsoever to range attack this mob.

    Stagger Glyph Sprays if you can (Assume you have at least a few enchanters if you're getting to the boss reliably :p)

    Another raid force I play with from time to time was getting to the last mob consistently but running out steam due to the dervish with mana drain before him. I am not sure if this is your issue or not but sounds similar.
    You can avoid the mana drain on this mob utilizing the islands, it has a large range but requires line of sight. So caster hide from that mob to have mana left over for the final guy.

    Yep, we avoid line of sight (with casters) on next to last mob to avoid the mana drain. Then we pile on and burn last mob with tons of AE healing. If we're low on numbers, we have a tank kite the late adds.

    My understanding is the 2 AEs on the final guy are on different timers, so they only line up to double whammy you every once in awhile. So if you have the timers, you can joust out for the targeted AE on the tank to avoid getting hit by both AEs when they line up.

    Thing that's been confusing and frustrating us lately is during the 2nd phase (with the 2 minis), sometimes people get smacked by a double Contentious Detonation AE, one of which has no mob as the original source so it will just say "Soandso was killed by !" We can fairly reliably make it through the phase but not without a fair amount of people getting blown up immediately (cause 2x 150k AE DD is more than most of our raid can handle)

    If your getting blinded then your not mezing fast enough or breaking mez, and taking avoidable damage. Mez the flare, offtank the jopal. and charm the flamling. Stay focused on named and full burn from start, and should get only 2-3 waves. All adds depop when named dies.

    If get blinded, you have to splash lots and hope you get topped off before named AE hits.

    Biggest thing that will help with the win. Glyph of dragon scales for everyone on the last boss.

    Can have MA switch to inferno flares on last guy also. Just melt them and it eliminates any double AE's I think, really made last guy a ton easier once we did that.

    The detonation is caused when they are to close to each other (iirc it's like 200-250 of so). Engage each at spawn point, is a good distance with some play. To one up it, make the raid gather on the elemental mob and kill him first (he is the one that jumps and causes the knockback) If you huddle on him when he jumps, you are out of range of the knockback damage when he jumps to the other.

    Someone else said Glyph spray , that's nice for the end of the fight , early on have your enchanters tossing out :

    Legion of Skrizix Rk. III ENC/109 1: Mitigate Spell Damage by 20%, 78536 total

    Combo that with a shaman splash will help a ton.

    More dps , our guild now doesn't even mezz the flares anymore , we stagger our burns by classes and just melt them.

    Make your SK's tank adds while your 6 deep pally crew , along with your 8 shamans , splash heal the raid. (kidding)

    Enchanters can mitigate a lot of the spell damage , 3 is ideal , that gives you 3 GS and 3 Skrizix mgbs.

    Shield of order + geomantras for casters.

    A caster getting rounded means they're not recasting shield of order between AE.

    As mentioned above if coming close and people are dying that fast try having everyone use glyph of dragon scale, might give it that extra boost to get heals off.
