DBG please consider allowing transfer from Coirnav to Selos

It's the money they already spent that DBG wants them to spend again.
Considering they are on the same expac right now, I think it is a very logical suggestion that would also serve as an apology. Chasing people out of the game is not good for their bottom line.

Keeping a customer seems like the best fiscal strategy for DBG. That monthly fee adds up over time. Server population crash must certainly come with subscription loss.

Depends if the population is just moving to the new shiny server, that is also luring in new subscriptions from other returning players. If that outweighs the people who keep playing on TLPs and then quitting when the server population inevitably dips, then it's a net increase in revenue.

When people finally figure out that hopping to the new TLP just repeats the cycle, and instead decide to stay where they are or decide to move to Live instead of quitting, that will undoubtedly change the calculus.

Not allowing you to transfer off your crap server means you will have to buy more bags, xp pots, and mounts. Sure you'll make noises with your mouth that you'll just quit, but everyone knows it's a lie. You might disappear for a few months, but when TLP 7 drops, you'll be there.

Being at the same expac is not even close to the same as being at parity. Coirnav players have been able to farm pop for as long as selo has existed. The OP literally references being done aid grimel - that is a massive timesink chase quest that very very few on selo have gotten yet.

You don't merge players into a less established server. If you want to mergw coirnav you do it to a server that has been around the same or longer so as not to obliterate the economy and stability of the one being merged into.

When we restart on new servers we buy new bags, etc. If they allow us to transfer our toons we buy less of those items.

Daybreak should just make a compromise. Bring back the "old school" transfer system. If you want to transfer to another TLP server that is at the same expansion pack or later, offer the transfers for cheaper than normal and make the character transfer there completely naked and with no platinum. That's how transfers used to work when they first became a thing. Then you need to find a guild/friends to help you get geared back up.

That both removes the parity problem and at least saves the Coirnav people from having to level up again.

I suppose they could even be a little more generous and give you a full set of NO DROP, cruddy gear, and take away all of your platinum. Something so there isn't a "leg up" over the current player base and it doesn't effect the server economy.
    Gremin likes this.

I strongly suspect the coirnav players are not looking to just dump all their investments. If you are happy with a broke and naked toon that merely is leveled, selo is extremely easy to just level on - it's kinda the big selling point of the server rules.

But hey, the whole point of TLP is to relive the good ol' days, right? That's how server transfers worked back then. lol

Selo population will drop once it progresses to a point where people cannot come close to keeping up with everything in era. Then fall further and further behind as the later expacs grow in difficulty. Especially while under AA'd and geared.

It was clear from the posts pre-launch that a lot of people chose Selos to see xpacs they never did live but had no idea at the difficulty of those xpacs with the added bonus of their toons being way under powered compared to their original release.

    Will be a rude awakening.

Considering how much money and time was spent on Coirnav compared to Selos, I don't understand your objection.

That would be a lesser fix, but I agree in principle.
