I was just wondering if anyone had thought about an Everquest the movie??? I am sure its probably been posted a million times, but I tell you what a few epic quests on the big screen sure would pull in the numbers to expand the game seriously to Virtual Reality EQ, imagine that! EQ where you log in and have all the sensory input to your brain so you FEEL like you are in eq, shag a tavern wench, sure , why not, shag a barman, if you want, why not, just saying. Then go out with a band of adventurers to take down Trakanon and get attacked by the Myconoid King and loot his regen chainmail from his bleeding corpse!!!
There is certainly enough lore and content over 20 years to create something on the big screen or even a tv series. Even though EQ is a niche, fantasy movies have done particularly well if done right. The tough part to me would be in the name itself. Everquest does not sound like a movie name. They would have to come up with a name that is true to the brand while also promoting EQ but also be appealing to the greater masses. Who knows something like this could be the "marketing" that the game needs but on the flip side the cost associated with the venture could also make the company go broke assuming they were not just selling the lore to a bigger entity.
There used to be this IMDB page for an EverQuest movie: https://web.archive.org/web/20071018064731/http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1122764/ Also IGN article: https://www.ign.com/articles/2007/10/12/everquest-the-movie Nothing ever happened though, of course.
Everquest -- The Movie: A group kills placeholders for 2 hours. At the end, the named spawns, but drops the wrong item.
I think it should be a behind the scenes type deal, like not a fantasy movie, like the inner workings and hijinks of the office. Who would play Absor? I think Christopher Walkenn could do a good Ngreth.
Absor...Hmmmm...Justin Bieber? Nahhh. Victor Buono is dead, so maybe Kelsey Grammer could work. Anyway, it would need to be someone who likes to carry a version of Thor's Hammer around I think.
strap a go pro on 1 random person in the officer for an entire day. then upload the video once a month. so 1 person, 8 hours, every month. wouldnt cost you anything =P. you could even branch out from there with idears =P
I’m legit afraid about WoT being turned into a sword of truth like TV series. There’s just so much material, it’s going to be crazy hard to adapt and have it not suck.
Just keep everyone involved in that Dungeons and Dragons movie away. Well, maybe some of the actors are ok, it's not their fault the script was awful.
Sadly Uwe Boll doesn't direct anymore. Sam Deathwalker maybe could pull it off though if he is still around.

ZOE/The Gamers These guys do a really good job with a low budget, I'm sure you could sell me enough New Nimbuses to fund production *Nod*
