Running problems

  1. Abramelin New Member

    I have one account with two characters. One of the characters can run fine the other character doesn't run at all.

    Good character - 51 velocity
    Bad character - 14 velocity, 3 walk

    This is what I’ve tried so far:

    Checked the weight
    Toggled run/walk
    Toggled duck/stand
    /run
    Deleted UI_Bad_server in main EQ directory
    Deleted all instances of bad character in userdata folder
    Renamed UI_Good_server to UI_Bad_server
    Same for userdata AL and AN

    Has anyone come across the problem before? And might know a fix that I might’ve missed.

    As an addendum to the above, are you using sneak (bard/beastlord/monk/ranger/rogue/halfling/wood elf)?

    Run speed can be affected by AA's, spells, compass and a few other things. Keep in mind that certain AA are only available at certain levels so if there is a level difference between the characters that could be it. I highly doubt its anything in those files that were deleted.

    Maybe a little more info on what is who and what level and AA they have on the characters?

    The character is a ogre SK, level 5. So no aa's, rogue sneak/hide. I guess I should've mentioned that in the first place.

    Still not sure what the "good" character is but prob a moot point. An ogre is very large and might run slower due to size. I also have an SK but he is not an ogre but his run speed is lacking behind my other characters of similar level.

    However when you put them on a mount then they all run the same (75) unless there is a bard hiding somewhere.

    Did you do the Gloomingdeep quest for the worn totem and how does that affect his speed? Its a 30% boost to run speed and sounds like he needs it.
