Ironic that an Amtrak member is so against XTar being added.

I logged on at lunch and configured my Extended Target window, and when I got back to the office, I got a promotion and massive raise. Then my wife told me she was going to make me Filet Mignon and fresh-baked cookies. After that, Undead Ed MacMahon showed up at my door and presented me with a Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes prize in the amount of One Million dollars.

Extended Target window made my life ten times easier!

I have no issue with it being added. I actually like it quite a lot. I just think that people calling it a QoL improvement are crazy.

See my signature below, that alone should tell you I am crazy. The fact I lead an Everquest guild for almost 4 years now on Lockjaw/Ragefire was the second clue, and the last clue is I have been married over 25 years(Yes, i know there was no clue for this).

Taking out focuses doesn't come close to offsetting this incredibly overpowered tool. If original eq had this in 2000 people would have been duoing naggy and vox.

For 5 Krono you can hire a bot army to escort you and do these solo.

It makes pulling 100% better/easier. "I think I lost aggro on that pack but I'll just lay here for 2 minutes to be sure" vs. knowing with absolute certainty.

Adding the raid enchanter pets on my mage was less helpful than I hoped.

Adding the main tanks on my cleric was fantastic!

ITS NOT CLASSIC!!!!1111!!!!111 ... I'm ok with it. Please revert all the other 'not classic' changes you made over the last three years: mainly the class/race combos and focus effects. RMT farming is as rampant as ever, even without focus effects.

Response to canned response:
"The game is already easy there is no need for it" . "Go play WoW" . If people think this makes the game too easy, raid with less people. Turn off the windows, stop using discord and gina.

"We have a life, want to do stuff without having to play eq like a part time job" . If the game is too hard or takes too long, get more people in your raid and 12 chanters with charm pets. Use discord and Gina, join a zerg guild to be Class X #23 that split raids all targets in record time.

This is fantastic news for those of us who have relied on banks upon banks of /tar hotkeys.

Half of my socials from the past 4 years are a graveyard of warriors/paladins/SK that no longer raid with me.

Being able to simplify with some planning how to heal those routinely taking damage is a godsend that removes a bunch of clutter from my UI and fills the UI elsewhere with better intel for me to react to.

As for other uses, I expect enchanters suffering from our Monks inability to count past 2 should be happy to grab targets for crowd control more easily which ultimately can lead to more efficient trash clears where in the past we just face tanked large pulls and relied on stupid amounts of over gearing so that everyone was essentially a tank.

Yes, it’s not classic. But neither is medding without having to stare at a book and no need to hold second sets of gear for a corpse run or /melody which basically makes most bards a set and forget class irrelevant if you main or box one.

Good point. Bring back medding with spell book on tlp. The screens are so big it wouldn't even be as big of a deal. But that book is paying your dues.

I certainly do. I used to keep the most-used spells for the latest expansion on pages 1 and 2.

I like this change. I had never seen the extended target windows... but I like it a lot. I am glad it was added.

There is an easy solution for that which does not involve enabling xtarg.
