Finally made a character then log in it switches my name and crashes..

Finally after 7 and a half hours i get in and make a character. Go to enter world, it switches my name to some random name a crashes. I would be ok with this if there was some sort of communication but they obviously don't care. Happy 20th everybody!

As for your issue, its one of many we're experiencing. Go to sleep

As has been posted in several other (merged) threads about the same issue, the team is aware and has been investigating. Several players have been able to have their correct character name after relogging as well.
