Played an enchanter back in 2001 and also play one casually on p99. Charm is very hard in p99.. generally you want to max out charisma and charm light blue, even green conning mobs, as white or yellow mobs would break charm almost instantly
To clarify: P99 is not Everquest. It is a fan made mod that emulates what those creators liked and disliked about the real Everquest and how it evolved. To answer: Charm in the game Everquest is based off your level vs mob level and magic resist. So if you are Tashing dark blue mobs even one level below you and a SHM/MAG adds Malo, you have a really good chance of less breaks and a stable DPS pet that requires some but not too much management.
