Shrugs... why wouldn't they? Have we had a progression server get to CoTF with population? Sit back a second... they could probably allow them earlier (HoT may be a tad soon but hey...). Pay to sub server so getting people to use up heroics there isn't a bad play, and some would need/want to buy new heroics. If there is money to milk and feed the rest of the game, let it be milked.
Yes we have had a progression server get to cotf and beyond. It's not gonna happen. You can believe what you want but it's not gonna happen, sorry.
Dunno why you say it is never going to happen. It already has happened. Currently there is one TLP that already has heroic characters available (Fippy) and they will unlock at CoTF on Phinny and Coirnav when those servers get there too. Which they both will eventually, one way or another.
They should remove truebox and allow heroic character creation in HoT. Would be a good time for both of these things to occur. Historically one of the common issues on EQ progression servers is that the server becomes extremely too heavy very quickly and starting a new character on those servers is difficult. Allowing people to create characters with mediocre gear just 5 levels below the cap would be a great idea to breath life into a progression server late in the expansion timeline.
Not exactly the subject of the post, but with which expansion come the flying mount on the cash item (like the pegesus for instance ?) Was it Sod ?
