Is it just me or is the "new" server running slower than the old one?

I don't think they have tuned the new server and doubt they will since we'll be moving off it to a new data center in the near future. We are running a spell update today and it takes up quite a bit of resources.

Text is hard to figure out what if anything is being said other than the text.

Mine still says its down for maintenance.

Could you make it so that Zam quests show parts that are optional?

That would require rewriting the quest entries. Many quest entries are from players. Let us know which quest steps are optional and we can update the quests.

That requires me doing the quests in an unnecessary slow way first :/

Usually a quest writeup is only done for new content we don't have on the site and some of those are submitted by players. If one of us volunteers decides to correct a quest on our own then we usually have to do the quest ourselves which takes hours sometimes depending if we need progression for our character and whatnot.

There are a ton of quests I've never done myself so I don't have a clue what is optional or not. The problem with guessing what is optional or not is sometimes things can't be looted out of order and so forth, it bugs quests so we usually just leave up the whole quest to do in order. We rely upon many players to give us input on what is optional by experience since we of course don't have the time to do a bunch of quests. I mainly work on code/database issues since those are a priority.

A month ago? Just last week I was raiding, pulled up a mob to see the loot table and forgot to close the tab in Chrome, EQ started lagging, whole computer ran like crap, Discord was skipping, until I finally realized that I left the ZAM tab open. Basically it tries to run so many ads over and over and over that eats memory until it crashes Chrome and sometimes the whole computer. Fixed a month ago.........I think not.

Try using firefox to browse the site. ZAM has adjusted their ad system regarding chrome but it's still not perfect.
