So try to get two or three for your approximate level range (you might be rejected if you're not high enough level for the level 50 one) and then head out when you have multiple quests in your journal. Maybe things have changed. If so, I'm really sorry. I haven't played since last year.

I would take an instant heal over a heal over time. Never know when your time is up and you're not going to survive long enough for the full effect. This other one is a Stun effect, which is great because it's nice to catch a break from being punched in the face, even if only for a couple of seconds. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=50066 Procs are kind of random. They will fire off at a higher rate with more Dexterity. It's often enough that you'll notice a difference.
Hey Thomas, Make sure you speak to the right "Teek". The Teek brothers are standing next to one another. You want to speak to Franklin Teek. He's the guy for the Hot zones. Just click on the appropriate hyperlink text and he will give you a quest for that level.
Don't know if anyone answered this for you, but you need to GIVE Reakash the potion (in a trade window) that Bowab gave you. Just did that quest myself today.
Hey, thanks. I actually found a work around. I did give reakash the potion and I didnt get the 'normal response' I had to manually type 'allegiance' or what ever it was into the box and that got it going. I didnt have that problem on my next two characters.
Incorrect, you can have 0 in a skill and still get skill ups. That said, the ONLY skills in which you can have 0 in currently are most of the Tradeskills as well as the various Languages. All other skills gain at least 1 skill in once you are high enough level to learn it.
Interestingly, having 0 in a tradeskill seems to be just for display. Your first skillup will take you from 0 to 2. I don't know if the same is true if you get your first tradeskill skillup from a guild master.
What TS did you have that happen on? On the rare occasions that I've forgotten to get the first 15 free skillups in TS I usually got my first skill up to 1 skill on the first combine, which typically fails. So are you sure you just didn't miss the actually first skill up?
Smithing. I'll see if I can repeat with another tradeskill. I'm pretty sure I started at 0 because I remember thinking it was weird that my first skillup was to 2. Also, I'm fairly certain I had never done a smithing combine on that character, but it's always possible I'm misremembering and that my skill started at 1 that day.
