It's sad a multi-modifier can't be arranged. How about that combined crafting container (above I called it a nexus), though? My impression is that recipes can already be assigned to multiple specialist containers, as with base skill containers versus coldain/planar/reinforced/cultural/etc, so going "up" in a more general direction may be feasible? That would be a worthy reward for a tradeskilling quest, for sure.

Hey Ngreth, while they aren't looking, can you snap a picture of your coworker's whiteboards and show them to us? It'll be fun and educational!

I was thinking of Dominos... but that's a cool reference! A fun episode!

Still a code change. a container can do ONE skill and the container has to match the skill set on the recipe or it doesn't work. We have two type of container with no skill attached, but that's literally no skill as it doesn't check any skill, won't give skillups, and is always no-fail... so... still no go.

Well note the blocked section. A screenshot of someone's board would look like:

Oh snap! If those are RGB color codes, maybe the next expansion is going to have some canary yellow and minty green? I am ready to pre-order!

What if you changed food/drink a little to enforce consumption - in a way that doesn't require code.
Baking/brewing can produce items that you right click for a 30 minute buff, and the item gets consumed (like a potion that looks like a roast beef sandwich).
That way you can get worthwhile benefits from baking/brewing and not worry about the items never getting consumed.

I'd rather see effort spent on trade skilled power sources over this - and this is coming from someone that sells a ton of food and drink in the Baz.

A real ogre would have left a couple of letters showing like:

    Epi on one line

    Necr on another

    120 Le on a 3rd.

would be funny to see the reactions on here

Powersources are TERRIBLE in this game. purity and all the dumb augs and everyhing that goes with it?
They need to simplify it before they improve it.

Do you even play this game?

This isn't 2004 or whatever. People don't force feed anymore. Why would they? A stack of merchant's feast/drink lasts weeks of play and costs almost nothing. There is nothing worth force feeding to "save".

It was a terrible tradeskill feature in the first place to create something like the challenge as a food. If you consumed it no one would have even made it. Now we have easy to make and cheap food that you don't need to force feed.

So this is looking for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

Then you would have to fight stacking issues with other HP buffs. We're just now getting Pact of Wolf/Wurine on a separate slot then the mount buffs, and those buffs have been in game for how long now?

No matter how much we about it, they are not going away. That is evident. So how about we finally don't have to farm TBS for them? How on Norrath is that not worth it given our lack of choice?

How about something that incorporates all 7 main tradeskills. For example, if skill capped then a daisy style quest that requires to make a certain item for each of the main 7 tradeskills so that when say you get that completed for baking you get like a baking utensil stamped onto one of the 7 main visible pieces of armor. With 7 tradeskills and 7 visible pieces you can link them up for all the different types of armor(silk, leather, chain, plate). IE all 4 types once completed for baking has the spoon symbol on the boots.

I am just throwing crap against the wall here. It would be nice to standout for your armor you made yourself, showing folks its not always about raid armor.

Another example I am thinking of that incorporates your new achievement system could do something like this...NPC#1 tells you "Please, return to me when you have seen fit to fish up all the rares fish of these here lands(insert name of new expansion lands). I will then hand you a special lure where you can you use it in soandso lands to catch "Insert cool super rare fish". Return to me with this fish and you shall receive "insert book with recipe for shoulders/waist item, or a power source".

You could do that with anyone of those items on your boards, so you are using multiple ways to make people work towards things.

With the Tradeskill items now stacking to 1000 - I would like to make the argument to stack almost all items to 1000. The reason I am making it to you is because it gets super tedious when Tradeskills are involved... To give you an example:

Say you're making stat food like Planar Donuts or Merchant's Brew. All of the mats stack to 1000 but the finished product - only to 20. It's a real pain in the having to lug around "full stacks" of 20 of the end result but yet everything else stacks to 1000.

I've also noticed that prices are increasing in The Bazaar on stat food that can stack to an abnormally high amount (Misty Thicket Picnics, Prepared Planar Goo, things like that). What this tells me is some players are prefering items that stack to 1000 just because they save space over the better food. This is kind of an unintended consequence of the new item stacking system.

If we can't make all items stack to 1000, at least let's make it so everything stacks to 100 outside of Tradeskill materials. We have such a large difference now with some stuff stacking to just 20 and some stuff to 1000. It's forcing the players to make choices based on different parameters now than before.

I would settle for stacking to 100 in a heart beat on the food that isn't used in trade skills. I am totally guilty of this in the bazaar but the 1000 stacks of food or any trade item in general increasing in price is storage. I can have 10x the product in the bazaar so I'm willing to sit on it longer than I used too because space is simply not an issue right now as I can also store 10x the inventory in my vault. If you don't want to pay my price, go farm it yourself is my retort :D

I'm doomsday prepared in EQ at the moment. I have a 32 slot container filled with 16 each Merchant Feasts and Brews in my vault. If I get lazy force feeding, I have reserves. I'd just clear out that bag a carry a stack of 100 on me at all times just because I can.

I would really dig it if you took the placeable tradeskill stations to specific places in the game and, when placed . . . a rare quest npc specific to that trade has a chance to spawn to give you something interesting to do.

Example: take the "Forge - Floor" or "Forge - Standing" and allow it to be placed in a room like where the custom velious helm drake is in Skyshrine (or other various forges in the game in obscure places). Then, an npc spawns that might be a questgiver or might be kos. Quest from there . . . well, who knows.
