We just made a cemetery plot in Sunrise Hills, and build graves/shrines dedicated to the fallen, including placeable items that might have meaning. Perhaps a sword or shield you got questing with that person. We deposited enough to make sure the relevant plots last far beyond the expected life of EQ. It would be nice if we could have named plaques crafted be players, but I think that would open the door to abuse.
Since the original purpose for Shadowrest is moot. It could be transformed into a sort of memorial area.
