Several million people will be home from work/school today on the East Coast, and you're starting the patch at 9:30AM our time. Down for 5 hours. There goes their whole day of potential play. Couldn't you start the patch earlier just this once?

I found this amusing, every time they patch europeans miss out on a lot of prime time play, often the entire afternoon and evening if patch runs over, and yet you want them to change the patch time because it might snow in whatever part of the US you are, I find this highly unlikely!
Not really, it's "all in game" but they just need to "turn" it on or "flip the switch" for the NPC's to show up for anniversary events. I'm sure they're gonna update their anniversary flags and do some graphical changes to help celebrate, those are needed to patch. But the events and such are all internal, from my understanding and can be "switched" on at any moment.
Agree about Europe even though your numbers are lower than the upper third of the US. They should patch Antonius during different hours.
As I predicted, many Northeast Coast schools and appointments are canceled Weds. this week. I hope I sleep late.
