I played this game when it first came out, but I was away from it for 10 plus years. Now that I have gotten back into it I don't really know what to do. I have a HC it is rogue, I have run through and done some quests and things like that, but I don't really know what I need to be doing. I log in I run around here and there, but like I said I don't really know what I should be doing. Can anyone offer some suggestions of how I should progress?

Get a merc. In fact get as many as you can. Healer, tank, caster.
See franklin teek in pok for daily quests. Next patch his brother also.
Check the melee board below for tips on rogue class.
If you played for like 7 years you should have some /claims. You can get a hedge lion mount most likely. Ugly, but useful.
You can also type /veteran. This will give you some aas, one of which is lesson of the devoted which will give you a half hour(?) of double(?) experience per day. These are limited to 1 character per year of subscription so dont use it unless you are sure you like the character.

    Hi and welcome back!

If you have a subscription you will want to upgrade your mercenary first thing:
    http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=7485

After that, you might like to look at

Find a guild on your server that fits your needs and join general chat and get in on some grouping. Since you are 85, you can group with any level, up to and including 105 (current max). Beg if you need to, but someone should definitely make room for you! You can accomplish a lot with only 2 people and mercenaries, so what you really want to do is make a friend or two that play regularly at the times that you tend to log in. Ask what people are working on and if you can tag along and be of any assistance. You'll be just fine.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely check out those guides and figure it out.

And defiantly do the merc quest in Ferrott the Dream. End result is Tier 5 mercs. Well worth the time and effo4rt.
